Equity, Diversity and Inclusion task force reports released
The A. B. Freeman School of Business has released the final reports of three special task forces convened by Dean Ira Solomon to develop recommendations to improve equity and diversity within the school.
Dean Solomon established the task forces last fall to assess the school’s efforts and recommend strategies for improving diversity and inclusion.
- The Art Inclusivity Task Force was established to review art currently on display in the Freeman School’s buildings and develop a process for determining which works are displayed.
- The Graduate Student Inclusivity and Diversity Task Force was established to develop recommendations for enhancing inclusivity and diversity within the Freeman School’s graduate student population.
- The Faculty Recruiting Inclusivity & Diversity Task Force was established to develop recommendations for enhancing inclusivity and diversity within the Freeman School faculty.
The task forces worked independently through the fall and spring semesters and submitted their reports to Dean Solomon in June.
“The A. B. Freeman School of Business is committed to creating an environment where all people are welcomed, treated fairly and given the support they need to be successful,” said Dean Solomon. “The recommendations contained within these three reports will provide us with a blueprint as we continue with these efforts to build a more equitable, diverse and inclusive institution. I sincerely thank the members of these task forces for their outstanding work.”
