Colella honored with Provost's Award for Excellence in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Adrienne Colella, James W. McFarland Distinguished Chair in Business and professor of management, received the 2022 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the second annual Tulane University Research, Scholarship and Artistic Achievement Awards. The ceremony, an annual presentation of Tulane University’s Office of Research, took place on Nov. 4 at the Higgins Hotel in New Orleans.
The Office of Research presents the awards to highlight outstanding scholars and recognize exceptional research achievement and impact on advancing knowledge across academic fields of study. The Provost’s Award for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion honors scholars for excellence in research that addresses societal inequalities and promotes social change.
Professor Colella was recognized for her groundbreaking work on disability and employment. A noted scholar with decades of important research focused on human resource issues related to disabilities in the workplace, Colella has published in prestigious journals in both management and psychology and has received numerous citations. In addition to her scholarly activity related to EDI, Colella served as chairperson of the Freeman School’s task on EDI as part of the school’s strategic planning process.
