Meet the MBA Class of 2024: Matias Pribor

Matias Pribor (MBA/JD ’24) is on a mission. As a joint law and business student, Pribor chose Tulane University for the specializations it offers in its law and business schools. Growing up in New York, surrounding by crude oil shipping, Pribor knew that he wanted to specialize in the oil and gas maritime industry. That interest couldn’t be timelier as the supply of Russian oil is limited and the ton mileage of gasoline and diesel is expected to surge 9.5%, the largest increase since 1993. To get where it's needed in the world, oil is going to have to travel by ship much more often. Pribor is readying himself for the increased activity by interning in Santiago, Chile, over the 2022 winter break with Ultranav, an international crude oil, refined products and chemicals shipping company. When asked why he chose to attend Tulane, Pribor says, “to acquire broad-based legal and business acumen in anticipation of the changing regulatory landscapes in the shipping and energy industries.” Upon graduation, Pribor is seeking positions within global shipping companies/banking firms where he can utilize both his law and business skills.
