Meet the MBA Class of ’26: Joshua Christian

Joshua Christian is an accomplished professional with a background in the education and hospitality services industries. The Eugene, OR native is passionate about advancing into a management role within the human resources field. Joshua's education in business law and management equips him with strong critical analysis and technical skills necessary for modern HR roles. Joshua has managed diverse teams in dynamic environments, meeting students' needs by adapting curricula during the pandemic and overhauling training processes for a high-turnover restaurant. These experiences taught him to manage simultaneous priorities, communicate effectively, and motivate others. Joshua aims to move into an HR talent development role within a larger firm in New Orleans, where he can further develop his skills and increase his impact.
What is a fun fact about you?
I work with a logging company during my summers back home in Oregon, cutting trees and managing commercial forests.
Why are you pursuing an MBA?
I plan to hone my management skills and jumpstart my career.
What attracted you to Freeman?
I'm a Freeman alum, so the facilities, resources, faculty, and location were big draws.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
I plan to work in HR talent development for a firm in New Orleans.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My two biggest hobbies are playing tennis and playing Magic: the Gathering. I'm also a big NHL fan, and I support the Seattle Kraken.
