Avery Gray

Avery Gray (MBA ’26)

Avery Gray is a full-time MBA student with a concentration in finance and marketing. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015 with a major in marketing and minor in entrepreneurship. Avery has worked 8+ years in marketing and strategic communications roles in the New Orleans area. His most recent role was social media and marketing manager for Dickie Brennan & Company in New Orleans. Avery’s aspirations to pursue a role as a product or business manager led him to Freeman to get his MBA. His diverse experience working across industries such as hospitality, higher education, online retail, and business management have provided him a deep understanding of digital marketing, marketing management and strategic planning.

What is a fun fact about you?
I can play the piano!

Why are you pursuing an MBA?
I am pursuing an MBA to sharpen the skills I have already acquired and develop a deeper knowledge in finance, strategy, and business analytics. I knew an MBA program would provide me with an opportunity to deepen my understanding of already-established interests. 

What attracted you to Freeman?
I was drawn to Freeman’s excellent academics and professors, its emphasis on diversity, and the amazing campus, which is in a city I have grown to love. The Freeman faculty and staff are very supportive, and I am enjoying the opportunity to learn from them and my peers. 

Where do you hope to be in five years?
In five years, I hope to be in a senior management role as a business manager or product manager focusing on corporate strategy, finance, and marketing. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy staying active through tennis, pickleball, running, skiing, and swimming. I have also volunteered for various New Orleans organizations and charities and am involved in the Tulane Consulting Club.
