Meet the MBA Class of ’26: Patrick Kiernan

Patrick Kiernan (MBA ’26)

Patrick Kiernan is a Certified Public Accountant with a strong background in accounting and finance transformation. He has also recently completed a certification in Real Estate Investing and Analysis from Wharton Online. Throughout his tenure at Deloitte, Patrick served external audit clients across various industries, including real estate, oil and gas, and manufacturing. As a Senior Manager, he led initiatives to improve clients' financial close processes and optimize complex transactions. Patrick's expertise extends to product development, having served as a Product Owner for Deloitte's internal cloud-based audit platform, Omnia, transitioning numerous engagement teams to the new platform. Patrick's dedication to professional growth is further demonstrated by his active involvement in several professional organizations and his commitment to civic engagement through board memberships and volunteer work. Patrick is poised to leverage his diverse skillset in a strategic role within the finance and real estate industries.
What is a fun fact about you?
I was a contestant on Slime Time Live as a kid.
Why are you pursuing an MBA?
I am pursuing my MBA to pivot into the finance space, specifically commercial real estate.
What attracted you to Freeman?
The reputation of the Freeman school and Tulane's commitment and investment in the New Orleans community aligns with my desire to remain local and continue investing in our community.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
I hope to be working successfully with a commercial real estate broker/development company in New Orleans in a senior-level role.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to play golf and basketball in my spare time.
