Favorite Business Professor: Professor Gans Narayanamoorthy. His classes were intellectually stimulating and packed with real-world insights. He challenged us to think critically and supported us every step. His teaching style made complex topics approachable and engaging. Beyond the classroom, he was a true mentor—always approachable, supportive, and generous with guidance on academic and career matters. His support made a lasting impact on my experience at Freeman.
Academic, extracurricular or personal achievement you're most proud of: I’m honored to have been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, recognizing academic excellence and leadership. Participating in the IdeaCorps Consulting Challenge was another major highlight, allowing me to work with a dynamic team on real-world business challenges. One of the most meaningful experiences was working with NOLA Nature School. Visiting the school and engaging with the children and staff gave me a deeper understanding of nonprofits' unique challenges. Our team applied risk mapping and analysis techniques to evaluate the school’s financial operations and recommend solutions to support its mission. It was incredibly rewarding to use my skills to contribute to an organization making a real impact in the community.
Most important thing you learned at Freeman: At Freeman, I learned that networking is just as crucial as academic knowledge. Building meaningful relationships and connecting with industry professionals has been as valuable to my growth as academic learning. Freeman provided numerous opportunities to engage with alumni, peers, and faculty, allowing me to expand my network and gain insights beyond the classroom. These connections have helped me with career opportunities and broadened my perspective on the business world, teaching me the power of collaboration and the importance of maintaining strong professional relationships.
Favorite New Orleans Memory: New Orleans is full of life, with festivals and celebrations happening year-round, so you'll never be bored here. I love the Mardi Gras parades, French Quarter Fest, sunsets at The Fly, and exploring the incredible food scene. My favorite memory is catching a Muses shoe during Mardi Gras! It was a thrilling moment that perfectly captured the city’s unique energy.
