NOLA.com: Louisiana venture capital firms, once an afterthought, are big funders of local startups now
Rob Lalka, Albert Lepage Professor in Business and executive director of the Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, was interviewed by NOLA.com about the emergence of in-state venture capital firms that invest in Louisiana startups.
“Venture capital only needs a few deals to work to make everything pay off,” he said. “We’re in the stage of making big bets and providing mentorship and connections. Even with all that, most will probably fail. That’s the way startups work.”
