WWL-TV: Delta Utilities customers face sticker shock as gas bills double following Entergy takeover
Eric Smith, professor of practice and associate director of the Tulane Energy Institute, was interviewed by WWL-TV for a story about New Orleans customers' sticker shock in the wake of Delta Utilities taking over the city's natural gas services from Entergy.
“Would it have been better if we had stayed with the Entergy combined company, possibly, but I think given the fact that Entergy wanted out of the business and wanted to just concentrate on electric power pricing, Delta was about the best solution available to us," Smith said.
