Freeman rises to No. 30 in Poets&Quants’ Best Undergraduate Business Schools
The Freeman School climbed five spots to No. 30 in Poets&Quants’ 2026 ranking of Best Undergraduate Business Schools. The list was released March 23 on Poets&Quants for Undergrads, the publication’s partner site dedicated to undergraduate business education.
Poets&Quants surveyed more than 100 business schools to arrive at this year’s results. Schools were ranked based on three equally weighted categories: Admission Standards, which comprised metrics including acceptance rate, six-year graduation rate, average high school GPA and average SAT/ACT score; Career Outcomes, which encompassed metrics including percent of job-seeking students who secured full-time employment within 90 days of graduation, average total first-year compensation and percent of students who had business-focused internships before their senior year; and Academic Experience, which was based on the response of alumni to questions relating to their satisfaction with the program, their level of significant experience (such as consulting projects or theses) during the program, and their satisfaction with their first jobs after graduation in terms of desired company, industry and salary.
“This year’s ranking reflects continued progress across the metrics that matter most — the caliber of students we’re attracting, the quality of education we’re delivering and the career success our graduates are achieving,” said Paulo Goes, Freeman School dean. “I’m pleased to see that the investments we’ve made in undergraduate education over the last four years are yielding measurable outcomes for our students."
Improving the undergraduate experience was a central priority of the Freeman School’s most recent strategic plan. Since the plan’s launch in 2022, the school has introduced a host of initiatives to enhance undergraduate education, including stronger integration of courses across the curriculum; new certificate programs in high-demand industries; 4+1 degree options that enable students to begin work on select master’s degree programs during their senior year; a gamified professional development program; and new minors including a general business minor for students from across the university.
“We’re focused on building an integrated undergraduate experience that connects rigorous academics with hands-on learning and career preparation,” said Myke Yest, associate dean for undergraduate education. “The enhancements we’ve made to the Bachelor of Science in Management program position our students to thrive in an evolving business landscape, and we’re committed to continuing that momentum.”
