The Times: How Elon Musk dismantled USAid — and what it really means
Rob Lalka, Albert Lepage Professor in Business and professor of practice in management, was interviewed by The Times for a story about Elon Musk's role in gutting of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
“From a business sense, if you wanted to cut costs you wouldn’t start with USAid,” said Rob Lalka, who specialises in venture capital entrepreneurship at Tulane University. “So what they are doing is likely political. And not small-government-Conservatism that believes in business and economic growth and free market uplift. This is anti-government; it is about disruption.”
