Zachary Wilkins (BSM ’25)
Name: Zachary Wilkins
Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana
Major: Finance, Energy Specialization
Minor: Jewish Studies
Post Graduation Plans: Investment Banking Analyst at Stifel, Nicolaus & Co, Inc., Industrial Services Group.
Freeman Activities: First Generation Investors (Liaison), Green Bull Investment, TAMID Group, Dean’s List.
Favorite Business Course: Energy Investment Banking
Favorite Business Professor: Mara Force is truly a force to be reconned with (pun intended). Though I have never formally taken one of her courses, she has been a pivotal mentor throughout my undergraduate tenure. Connected through my involvement in Tulane’s Green Bull Investment Group, a highly selective Investment Banking recruitment program, Professor Force has played a pivotal role in my professional development. Whether it was interview prep, content review, or Chicago food recommendations (as we are both big foodies), I attribute much of my early professional success to the mentorship and guidance that Professor Force has selflessly provided.
Academic, extracurricular or personal achievement you're most proud of: Among my achievements, I am most proud of my role as a liaison between First Generation Investors (FGI), Tulane University, and LongueVue Capital Partners. This role encapsulates the variety of skills and professional acumen I have developed at A. B. Freeman and represents the culmination of my undergraduate experience.
Managing this partnership has required me to apply my financial knowledge, leverage my network to build meaningful partnerships, and, most importantly, use my skills to give back to the community that shaped me. It has been incredibly rewarding to take what I’ve learned in the classroom and in my internships and channel it toward a cause that empowers others through financial literacy. More than just an achievement, this experience has reinforced my belief in the responsibility to use your knowledge for a socially beneficial cause—a duty I will carry into my professional career.
Top items on professional bucket list: I hope to become the CEO of my own impact consulting firm. I also want to start a foundation aimed at supporting early-childhood education. Ideally, I would start the foundation in New Orleans and hopefully expand it to other states.
Fun Fact: I can’t dunk.
