Meet the MBA Class of ’27: Javier Ferrer
Javier Ferrer
Javier Ferrer is pursuing an MBA (Finance) and a Master of Management in Energy (Energy Trading & Risk Management), building on dual bachelor’s degrees in Entrepreneurship and Applied Economics. At the Florida Public Service Commission, he served as an Accounting & Finance Public Utility Analyst, managing multiple rate cases for major investor-owned utilities. He developed detailed financial analyses of cost of service, revenues, and return on equity; prepared materials for Commission proceedings; and met tight statutory deadlines across concurrent dockets. Javier’s strength is translating complex regulatory data into clear, defensible recommendations. He aims to apply this foundation in energy finance, corporate development, or regulatory advisory roles, helping organizations align capital decisions with policy and market realities.
