The National Desk: Waffle House adding 50-cent egg surcharge; cite soaring prices due to bird flu

Osman Kazan, professor of practice in management science and director of the Master of Business Analytics program, was interviewed by The National Desk for a story about Waffle House's decision to add an egg surcharge to its menu in the face of soaring prices.
Osman Kazan, a business expert with Tulane University's Freeman School of Business believes, it's not unreasonable for Waffle House to add the surcharge, considering egg prices are up over 50% since November.
"They basically want to reflect that cost, the supply cost, to their customers," said Kazan.
