Freeman School students Aryanna Baytop and Abbey Hochreiner were highlighted by Poets&Quants as two of this year's Top 100 Best & Brightest Undergraduate Business Majors.

For the past 10 years, Poets&Quants for Undergrads has recognized business students whose energy and commitment to personal growth represent the best of their cohorts. The list was assembled based on nominations from each of Poets&Quants top 50 undergraduate business schools, with the schools using their own selection process and criteria. Baytop and Hochreiner were nominated on the basis of their academic achievements and extracurricular activities.

A native of Los Angeles, Baytop is a management major with a minor in economics. She co-founded the student organization Students Against Food Insecurity and has served as a Green Wave Ambassador, a teaching assistant, president of the Mortar Board Honor Society, a Greek Ambassador and a supplemental instructor. Since 2023, she's completed internships with J.P. Morgan Chase and KPMG. Following graduation, she plans to finish her Master of Accounting degree at Freeman, earn her CPA license and work as an Audit Associate.

“Aryanna’s combination of academic brilliance, leadership in service, mentorship and professional ambition makes her an invaluable member of our academic community here at Tulane University," said Charlotte Battiest, director of the Undergraduate Student Experience in Freeman's Office of Undergraduate Education. "She is not just a student with outstanding accomplishments — she is a catalyst for change and empowerment, continuously lifting those around her while maintaining her own academic and professional trajectory. Her unwavering dedication to excellence and her desire to make a positive impact on both her peers and her community speaks volumes about her immense value.”

Hochreiner, who hails from Springfield, N.J., is a finance and economics double major and participant in the Altman Program in International Studies and Business, which integrates liberal arts, business, extensive language instruction and study abroad. Her extracurriculars at Tulane include Girls Who Invest, Community Action Council of Tulane Students, Global Guides and World Development Scholar Society. During her undergraduate career, she completed internships with BOC Capital, Magnetar Capital and J.P. Morgan, and she plans to join J.P. Morgan in New York as equity research analyst following her graduation.

“Abbey exemplifies the values of academic rigor, leadership, global awareness and community service, making her an irreplaceable part of our educational community here at Tulane University," said Battiest. "Her ability to blend rigorous coursework, real-world experience, and a commitment to social impact highlights her extraordinary potential and invaluable presence at Tulane University.”
