What are your post-graduation plans?
I will be entering the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program at UCLA in the Fall and applying to law school after.
What are your top Freeman extracurricular activities?
President of the Alliance of Black Business Students and Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity.
What community or volunteer activities did you participate in outside of the business school?
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Omicron Psi Chapter), Tower & Crescent, Latinas Unidas, Tulane Office of Undergraduate Admissions (Pathfinder), Women and Youth Supporting Each Other
What academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of?
I’m proudest of getting closer with underclassmen through the Alliance of Black Business Students and providing mentorship throughout the beginning of their Freeman journey.
What was your favorite business course?
Leadership with Professor Huaizhong Chen.
Who is your favorite business professor and why?
Professor Huaizhong Chen’s Leadership class allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of leadership theories while also gaining a better understanding of my own leadership traits. Through her utilization of theories and research, I was able to learn how to analyze real-world cases involving both successful and unsuccessful examples of leadership. Overall, I truly appreciate professor Chen’s dedication to this class and allowing me to find my voice as a leader.
What’s your favorite memory of Freeman?
The first time I attended a meeting for the Alliance of Black Business students!
What are the top items on your professional bucket list?
I’m excited to get into law school, pass the California Bar, represent professional black female athletes, and give back the communities that have supported my journey and contributed to my success.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I have studied abroad every summer since my freshman year (Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Senegal)!
