What are your top Freeman extracurricular activities?

Alpha Kappa Psi, Scholars of Finance

What community or volunteer activities did you participate in outside of the business school?

Chi Omega, Crawfest, RHA Community Government

What academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of?

I am most proud of helping to found the Tulane chapter of Scholars of Finance and growing it to over 40 active members in just one year. Being part of building the organization from the ground up and seeing the impact it has had on students interested in finance has been incredibly rewarding.

What was your favorite business course?

My favorite business course was the Aaron Selber Jr. course on Hedge Funds. I especially enjoyed how hands-on and real-world the class was through the creation and pitching of our own unique fund ideas. The opportunity to work closely with a group of highly motivated students and an industry mentor who provided feedback and helped us refine our ideas made the experience even more valuable.

Who is your favorite business professor and why?

My favorite business professor is Mara Force. I have taken three classes with Mara, and what consistently stands out to me is her dedication to her students. I remember during FINE 3010, my first finance class, I was really struggling and frequently attended her office hours for help. She was always willing to walk through concepts multiple times and in different ways until I understood them.

Fast forward three years, and I now feel much more confident in my financial skills. This year, I took two of her experiential learning courses, the Aaron Selber Jr. Hedge Funds course and the Investment Banking Practicum, both of which provided immersive, hands-on experiences unlike any other classes in the business school, made possible by Mara’s dedication and hard work.

What’s your favorite memory of Freeman?

My favorite memory of Freeman is sitting in the building's lobby, seeing friends walk by, and getting to catch up with everyone throughout the day. Those everyday moments made Freeman feel like a close-knit community.

What are the top items on your professional bucket list?

One of the top items on my professional bucket list is to one day become the CEO of a fashion or beauty-focused company. I also hope to start a foundation that supports causes close to me, such as helping students with learning disabilities and encouraging women to pursue careers in finance.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?

I graduated from high school in three years and then took a gap year before coming to Tulane.
