Following graduation, what’s on the horizon for you professionally?

I’ll be continuing my education at Harvard in the Master of Engineering in Computational Science and Engineering program. Long term, I hope to pursue a PhD in computational and applied mathematics while exploring internships and work at the intersection of quantitative finance and AI/ML. Freeman and Tulane gave me both the technical foundation and the confidence to pursue that path.

Who was your favorite business professor and why?

That is an impossible question to answer with just one name. Professor David Thompson stands out for trusting me with real responsibility through venture investing and helping me shape the Angel Investing course. Professor Venkat Subramaniam gave me a deep foundation in finance, Professor Marshall Carver pushed my thinking in advanced financial management, and Professor Christine Smith made my MAcct journey possible. I owe a lot to all of them and many more.

What was your favorite business course? Why was it your favorite?

My favorite course was Venture Capital and Private Equity with Professor Thompson. I was part of the early student team supporting due diligence for the TUII VC Fund, which meant evaluating real companies, thinking through real investment decisions, and helping build something that would outlast our cohort. It was the kind of class that made Freeman feel entrepreneurial, practical, and exciting all at once.

What’s the most important thing you learned at Freeman?

I learned that success is not just about what you know. It is also about how quickly you can learn what you do not know, and how well you can lean on your team, your mentors, and your network to close that gap.

What’s your favorite New Orleans memory?

Honestly, some of my favorite New Orleans memories are the everyday ones: walking into class and realizing I got to learn alongside some of the smartest, funniest, and most motivated people I know. Tulane made learning feel social, energizing, and alive, and that is what I will miss most.
