Financial Times Ranks Freeman MFIN Program 6th in U.S.
For the sixth straight year, the Financial Times has ranked the Master of Finance program at Tulane University's A. B. Freeman School of Business as one of the best in the world.
The Freeman School’s MFIN program was ranked 43rd internationally and sixth among U.S. programs in the newspaper's latest rating of pre-experience master’s in finance programs, which FT defines as programs aimed at students with little or no work experience. The ranking, part of FT’s Masters in Finance 2016 Special Report, was published June 20.
“In the last six years, we’ve devoted a great deal of time and energy to building a truly outstanding and differentiated Master of Finance program,” said Ira Solomon, dean of the Freeman School. “While individual rankings do not capture the full quality of a program, our showing in the latest Financial Times survey is gratifying evidence that we're achieving that objective.”
The Financial Times surveys both the schools and their alumni to rank the top master’s programs in finance. Programs are rated on criteria including the salary, placement success and international mobility of graduates as well as the program’s international reach and diversity according to gender and nationality.
