The Times-Picayune: Brazilian paper pulp supplier signs five-year lease at Avondale Global Gateway
Osman Kazan, professor of practice in management science, was interviewed by The Times-Picayune for a story about Suzano, one of the world's largest suppliers of wood pulp, signing a five-year lease at Avondale Global Gateway.
"Every ton Suzano moves through Avondale is cargo not going to Houston," Osman Kazan, a professor at Tulane's A.B. Freeman School of Business, said in an interview this week. "For a region that has long lost freight to Texas, a five-year commitment from a global player is a strong signal that Louisiana can compete."
