Meet the MBA Class of ’26: Jake Kuebel
Jake Kuebel (MBA '26)
New Orleans, Louisiana
John “Jake” Kuebel is an aspiring business professional with a background in fundraising, relationship management and education. Most recently, as a Leadership Annual Giving Officer at the University of Florida, Jake managed a portfolio of over 2,000 alumni and supporters. He also has experience teaching, mentoring students, organizing service events and coaching varsity golf. A graduate of the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, Jake was tapped into Florida Blue Key, the university’s highest leadership honorary, for his leadership and service on campus. He is passionate about leveraging his analytical and communication skills in consulting or business development roles.
What is a fun fact about you?
My first job was teaching and coaching at Jesuit High School here in New Orleans.
Why are you pursuing an MBA?
I was in a different industry and knew I wanted to move home to work in the business world in New Orleans. An MBA program would allow me the chance to network and find my passion.
What attracted you to Freeman?
When I asked myself what would make me the best possible job candidate, nothing would help me more in New Orleans than a degree from Freeman.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
I hope to be working in the energy industry or in an advisory or consulting role.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love golf, all New Orleans sports, history, traveling, fishing and the Florida Gators (my undergrad institution).
