Newsweek: Should China's RedNote Face Ban Too?

Ashley Nelson, senior professor of practice in management communication, was interviewed by Newsweek for a story about whether TikTok alternative RedNote, which is Chinese owned, should also be banned by the U.S. government due to national security concerns.
The CCP has banned Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Twitter, WhatsApp and YouTube. Russia, North Korea, and Iran ban U.S. social media apps for mostly censorship reasons. In the end, what is so special about the U.S. banning a non-U.S. app? Nothing.
