Chris Otten, professor of practice in business & legal studies, was interviewed by The National Desk for a story about expected increases in national insurance rates in the wake of the California fires.
"Reinsurance rates are going thought the roof because of the increased risks at the local level. So what happens in California is going to impact other states indirectly at a minimum through the reinsurance increases."
