Newsweek: Jeff Bezos May Sell up to 25M Amazon Shares
Rob Lalka, Albert Lepage Professor in Business, was quoted in a Newsweek story about Amazon's disclosure that founder Jeff Bezos could sell up to 25 million shares of the company in the next year. Amazon recently walked back a plan to show the cost of tariffs next to prices on its Amazon Haul site after pressure from the White House.
There's a reason why the Trump administration responded the way it did to the Amazon speculation, explains Rob Lalka, a professor of business at Tulane University's Freeman School—noting that such quick and harsh words from the White House signals concern about companies "redirecting customer frustration."
