Andrew Possi (MBA ’25)
Name: Andrew Possi
Hometown: Milton, Massachusetts
Program: MBA
Concentration: Business Analytics
Post Graduation Plans: I’m currently serving as an Associate Scout with the Tampa Bay Rays, a role I began in February. This position runs through the end of the year, and it’s been an incredible opportunity to deepen my experience in player evaluation and professional scouting. My goal is to transition into a full-time role either in scouting or baseball operations.
Freeman Activities: Tulane Baseball Analytics Assistant, Tulane Sports Analytics Club
Favorite Business Course: Advanced Modeling and Analytics
Favorite Business Professor: My favorite professor at Tulane is Yi-Jen “Ian” Ho. His teaching style is incredibly engaging, and he truly connects with students during class. He often takes time to speak with us on a more personal, peer-to-peer level rather than just as an instructor. On a personal note, Ian was extremely supportive and thoughtful about my hearing disability, always ensuring I had the resources I needed—even without me having to ask. Over time, we've built a strong and professional relationship.
Most important thing you learned at Freeman: An important lesson I learned at the Freeman School was how to grow as a leader while navigating a completely new environment. Entering the program without knowing anyone, I was challenged to step out of my comfort zone and build meaningful relationships, many of which I hope will last well beyond graduation. I also developed a stronger sense of self-advocacy, especially in managing my hearing disability. I learned how to communicate effectively with my professors and the Goldman Center to ensure I had the necessary accommodations and support. This experience not only helped me succeed academically but also empowered me to speak up for my needs with confidence and clarity.
Favorite New Orleans Memory: What I enjoy most about New Orleans is the warm weather and the vibrant energy of the city. Coming from Boston, I’ve really come to appreciate the consistent sunshine and warmer climate. I also love the unique atmosphere New Orleans offers—there’s always something going on and getting to experience traditions like Mardi Gras has made my time here especially memorable.
