Hunter McGehee is a strategy-focused professional with experience supporting large-scale operational changes and workforce planning. His background includes collaborating with teams to optimize staffing solutions, streamline processes, and deliver measurable growth, contributing directly to over $150M in revenue gains. Hunter is pursuing his MBA with dual concentrations in Strategy and Marketing and Business Analytics to prepare for a career in management consulting. He thrives at identifying inefficiencies, designing innovative solutions, and working with diverse stakeholders to implement lasting improvements. Passionate about problem-solving, he brings both analytical discipline and interpersonal strength to his work. Hunter is motivated by challenges that require blending data-driven insights with people-centered leadership to help organizations achieve sustainable growth.
What internships or work experience are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of working with the recruiting team at my old job to create a new remote talent acquisition process that directly led to a drastic increase in revenue.
Why are you pursuing an MBA?
I am pursuing my MBA to sharpen my skills and pivot into the consulting space.
What attracted you to Freeman? What are you hoping to achieve?
I was attracted to Freeman because of the prestigious reputation it has throughout the Gulf Coast Region, as well as the entire country. Freeman also offers the unique opportunity to study and live in the cultural heart of Louisiana. I hope to make the most of these opportunities, grow as a professional and be a productive member of the community.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
In five years, I hope to be a consultant at a respected firm in Houston.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am a huge movie nerd. My favorite films are by Stanley Kubrick, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I hiked up a cliff side in South Africa to sit and drink coffee while enjoying the sunset and sounds of the lions roaring and elephants blowing their trumpets.
