The MBA Lifelong Learning Initiative allows Tulane MBA graduates to enroll in electives alongside current MBA students, enabling them to enhance their skills in emerging business topics while earning academic credit in a convenient, cost-effective format.

Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business is pleased to announce the launch of a new program that enables MBA alumni to continue their professional education beyond graduation.

The Freeman School's MBA Lifelong Learning Initiative allows Tulane MBA graduates to enroll in electives that were not part of their original degree requirements, enabling them to earn academic credit at a discounted tuition rate while reconnecting with the classroom experience that makes the Freeman MBA so valuable. Established in response to alumni requests, the program offers professionals a purpose-driven pathway to continuous learning at a time when business is undergoing an AI-fueled transformation.

"The MBA is a pivotal experience in the lives and careers of our alumni, and many have expressed an interest in continuing that experience," said Ashley Francis, Assistant Dean of the Freeman School's Stewart Center for Professional & Executive Education. "The MBA Lifelong Learning Initiative addresses that demand, giving our graduates a convenient, affordable path to gain new skills and expand their networks."

The program offers students a range of benefits, including reconnecting with an engaged learning community, accessing cutting-edge scholarship and teaching, and tapping into a wider network of business leaders. Most significantly, the initiative cements the MBA program’s relationship with graduates as a lifelong partnership.

"With artificial intelligence and other forces reshaping business at an unprecedented pace, executives can no longer afford to treat education as a one-time achievement," said Carmen Weigelt, Associate Professor of Strategy and Associate Dean of the Stewart Center. "The MBA Lifelong Learning Initiative reimagines business education as continuing collaboration, ensuring that our alumni always have access to the knowledge and professional support needed to navigate a changing business world."

All classes are held in-person at the Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex on weekends. Initial course offerings for fall 2026 include Spreadsheet Modeling and Data Visualization, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Risk Management, Managing Innovation, AI in Business, and Cases in Finance. Spring 2027 offerings include Applied AI in Finance, Data Insights for Strategic Leaders, Change Management, and Portfolio Theory & Management. Students seeking international business experience can also opt to participate in the EMBA program’s travel immersion course, Managing the Global Enterprise.
